General description<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
The DeVore Fidelity O\/Baby is a compact speaker that embodies the essence of the larger O\/96. With a width of 37.5 cm and a height of 58.5 cm without stand, it fits effortlessly into a variety of spaces. The design includes a 19 mm textile dome tweeter, placed in a subtle horn incorporated into the front panel, and a 178 mm woofer of uncoated German paper, similar to those in the O\/96 and O\/Reference. <\/p>\n

The O\/Baby delivers an open and spacious sound with a surprisingly deep bass response for its size. The tuning of the components ensures a natural and immersive listening experience. The speaker is designed to integrate easily into various setups and is suitable for a variety of music genres. <\/p>\n

A solid oak stand is optionally available, which not only complements the aesthetics but also contributes to the speaker’s optimal placement and performance.<\/span><\/div>\n

Background information<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
DeVore Fidelity’s O\/Baby was designed by John DeVore as a compact version of the O\/96 loudspeaker. It is a two-way design with a 7″ paper woofer and silk dome tweeter, both adapted for this enclosure. The cabinet is birch plywood with walnut veneer, built entirely by hand in Brooklyn. The internal wiring is high quality and carefully tuned for maximum coherence. The philosophy revolves around natural sound and efficiency with a design that is easily driven by tube amplifiers. <\/span><\/div>\n
Brand history<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
DeVore Fidelity was founded in 2000 by John DeVore in Brooklyn, New York. The brand develops and manufactures loudspeakers specifically designed to work in conjunction with tube amplifiers. The designs are largely handcrafted in a workshop in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. In the process, DeVore Fidelity uses materials such as veneers that are laid and finished in-house. The brand’s speakers use in-house drivers or custom drivers produced exclusively for DeVore. Each model undergoes extensive listening tests and tuning in a permanent, specially equipped listening room. All models are designed, built, tested and packaged at the same location.
