Background Information

The SVS PC-2000 PRO was designed with a focus on powerful and accurate bass reproduction. SVS engineers, including Gary Yacoubian, led the development. The subwoofer utilizes high-quality materials, such as a long-throw driver and a powerful 550-watt RMS Sledge amplifier. The cylindrical enclosure is constructed from robust MDF to minimize resonances. Advanced amplifier technology and internal wiring contribute to optimal signal transmission. Manufacturing methods emphasize precision and durability, with materials sourced locally and internationally to ensure quality.

Brand History

SVS was founded in 1998 in Youngstown, Ohio. The brand began manufacturing subwoofers and quickly gained prominence by offering high-quality products at relatively low prices. SVS distinguished itself through a direct sales strategy via the Internet, bypassing traditional distribution models. This allowed them to offer affordable subwoofers without compromising on quality. Subwoofers remain an important part of the product offering, although the company has since developed a wider range of audio equipment. Today, SVS offers five subwoofer lines, ranging from the 1000 series to the Ultra series.
