The amplifier delivers an impressive 1,080 watts at 8 ohms and 1,800 watts at 4 ohms. It uses a Class AB configuration with two custom-designed transformers and four slit-foil capacitors, which support efficient energy storage. Inside are 32 high-current output transistors that ensure precise power transfer and timing consistency. The front panel features a display capable of showing both a peak power meter and a spectrum analyzer. This line was aimed primarily at the Japanese market, but soon found worldwide success due to its superior audio performance and use of classic Japanese rosewood side panels. After several years, production of the original Michi line was discontinued. In 2019, Rotel revived the Michi brand with the introduction of new models, including the P5 preamplifier, the S5 stereo power amplifier and the M8 monoblock power amplifier.
