The Arcam ST60 was designed as a high-end streaming DAC for the modern music lover. The design team aimed for maximum audio quality and ease of use. Both the analog and digital sections are completely separated internally to minimize noise. The ST60 uses an ESS Sabre DAC, high-quality aluminum housing and balanced XLR outputs. Designed in the UK to complement Arcam’s HDA series.
Arcam was founded in 1976 in Cambridge, United Kingdom. The first product the company launched was the A60, an integrated amplifier that achieved iconic status and sold more than 30,000 copies. Arcam expanded its range in 1986 with the first CD player designed and manufactured entirely in the UK. In 1988, Arcam released the Black Box, one of the first stand-alone DACs (Digital to Analogue Converter) for CD playback. In the 1990s, Arcam introduced the Xeta 1, the first AV amplifier for audiophiles, and developed the world’s first DAB tuner for home use in 1999.
