Sleek and straightforward. The high is so defined that even the smallest details roll effortlessly out of the tweeter, while the solid low frequencies don't lie (and we're not lying). The character of a B&W midrange is unique and very distinctive more transparent than before but rich and full upfront as always.

This speaker uses a new Titanium Dome tweeter, which ensures precise reproduction of high frequencies. The applied Continuum cone in the midrange contributes to a neutral and detailed sound. This design offers enhanced reproduction of voices and instruments. Thanks to the dual bass cones, deep bass is produced, while the rear of the enclosure features a Flowport system to reduce unwanted noise. The connections are optimized for cleaner signal transmission, contributing to higher quality sound. The housing is sturdy and carefully designed to minimize resonances. This results in a clear sound that performs well in different frequency ranges. The speaker is suitable for both music and movies, maintaining the balance between highs, mids and lows.

Bowers & Wilkins developed several models in the 800 Series in the following years. In 1998, its R&D center, the Steyning Research Establishment, was opened. In 2015, the company introduced the 800 Series Diamond. Head designers such as Laurence Dickie and later John Dibb contributed to product development. In 2020, Bowers & Wilkins was acquired by Sound United LLC. It is headquartered in the United Kingdom.
