The C.E.C. TL5 is a CD transport that uses a belt drive, a technique that helps reduce vibration and electromagnetic interference. This results in smooth and stable rotation of the CD, contributing to accurate and detailed playback of music.
The unit has a top-loader mechanism, where the CD is inserted from the top and covered with a glass cover. A heavy-duty stabilizer disc provides additional stability during playback. The TL5 is equipped with several digital outputs, including optical, coaxial and balanced AES/EBU connections, making it easy to connect the transport to various digital-to-analog converters (DACs).
