Description
Totem! How do they get it done, we used to think with the old little columns. Now serious monitors, where that same air and liveliness have been taken to a much higher level. With a very natural sounding midrange and high resolving power. They create a spacious soundstage that puts you right in the middle of the recording. The titanium dome tweeter provides the higher frequencies without sharpness. No crossover, resulting in unfiltered musicality.
Deep blue!!! Doesn’t come out quite right in the photos unfortunately because we are lousy camera users.
This model features a 7-inch manually assembled driver with advanced magnetic field technology, eliminating the need for active or passive crossover components in the low-frequency range. The 1-inch titanium dome tweeter features a 3/8-inch thick aluminum faceplate and a ribbed aluminum chamber. The enclosure has a geometric design without parallel surfaces and is finished with a multilayer polyester paint. The rear is equipped with custom aluminum terminal plates and bi-wireable Platinum WBT 4-way connectors. The frequency range runs from 30 Hz to 22 kHz, with a sensitivity of 88 dB and an impedance of 8 ohms. Recommended amplifier power is between 50 W and 250 W. Dimensions are 22.38 x 42.16 x 29.72 cm (w x h x d) and the weight is 14.74 kg. Optional matching magnetic grilles are available.
The Totem Element Fire V2 was designed by Totem Acoustic’s Canadian design team, led by founder Vince Bruzzese. The speaker is built according to Totem’s philosophy of musicality, minimalism and natural sound. It uses hand-selected and matched drivers, a solid wood enclosure with unique composites, and high-quality internal wiring for optimal signal purity. Everything is manufactured in Canada.
Totem was founded in 1987 in Montreal, Canada, by loudspeaker designer and acoustical engineer Vince Bruzzese. The first model launched was the Model 1, designed with specific emphasis on timing, phase coherence and frequency response. All speakers are designed with a focus on acoustic behavior and sound tuning via manual component selection. Totem uses internally designed components or parts sourced from long-term collaborations with selected partners. The cabinets are made of multi-layered MDF wood with hidden joint structures and specific internal bracing designed for controlled cabinet resonance. Crossovers are hand soldered and typically do not include overdrive protection to avoid signal interference. Totem conducts extensive listening tests with selected masters for tuning. Production of most models takes place in Canada. The company offers several product lines with floor-standing, bookshelf and wall-mounted models. Models are often named after animals or nature references.
