The Volumio Preciso is a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that focuses on delivering a clean and accurate audio signal. With a dual mono design and hyper-symmetrical architecture, the Preciso provides a wide and natural soundstage. The internal linear power supply is separate for the analog and digital sections, which reduces interference and improves dynamics. In addition, the Preciso can function as a preamplifier with hardware volume control, allowing direct connection to power amplifiers. Precision begins with a single, precise MEMS clock that drives both DACs for consistent timing. The design uses carefully selected components to ensure stable and distortion-free performance. With a THD+N of -122.5 dB, the Preciso delivers transparent sound. When used with the RIVO+ or other specialized transport, the Preciso becomes part of an optimized digital chain. The DAC was designed and passionately manufactured in Florence, Italy.
Volumio Preciso was designed by the Volumio team in Italy, with a focus on pure sound quality and sleek design. It was developed together with sound engineers from Red House Recording Studio. The cabinet is made of CNC-milled aluminum with real walnut wood on the sides. Internally, a Class-D amplifier with 2x50W and an ESS 9038 DAC play the main role, along with audiophile components.
