Putting a high-end Hi-Fi system on just any old cabinet always feels a bit like a half-measure. If you care about your sound, the place where everything is set up should be just right, too. Practical, sturdy, and simply a pleasure to look at.
Here you’ll find audio furniture for compact stereo setups, extensive component systems, and everything in between. Whether new or used, from sleek, modern racks to pieces with character that perfectly accommodate a complete system.
An audio cabinet is more than just a place to put your equipment. It brings structure to your setup, makes daily use more enjoyable, and ensures that your components are arranged in a logical and organized manner. Amplifiers, turntables, streamers, DACs, and other audio components take up space—not only to fit, but also to be used practically. A good audio cabinet helps with that.
Different Types of Audio Furniture
Not all audio furniture is the same. What works best depends entirely on your setup, available space, and how you use your equipment. Here are some of the things you’ll find:
open audio racks with good ventilation
Enclosed audio cabinets for a sleeker look
Compact furniture for smaller hi-fi systems
larger pieces of furniture for extensive audio setups
furniture with extra space for accessories and cables
Some solutions are primarily practical. Others are just as important in terms of how a listening room looks.
Why an audio cabinet does more than just provide storage
A good audio setup isn’t just about the components themselves. How everything is arranged plays just as big a role in everyday use. Consider:
better accessibility to your equipment
Neat cable management
adequate ventilation for amplifiers and other components
stable installation of sensitive equipment
a setup that feels more cohesive and logical overall
Sometimes you don’t realize how useful a good audio cabinet is until you’ve gone without one for years.
New and used audio furniture
Audio equipment often lasts a long time. That’s precisely why used models are often just as appealing as new ones. Our selection is constantly changing. Sometimes we have a sleek new audio rack for a modern setup. Other times, we have a used piece of furniture with character that’s a perfect fit for an existing or vintage system. That makes this a category where you can often find something interesting.
What should you look for when choosing audio furniture?
An audio cabinet should complement both your equipment and the way you use your system.Key points to note:
dimensions of your components
load capacity per level
ventilation space around amplifiers
cable space and accessibility
Aesthetics and choice of materials
Good furniture not only keeps things organized, but also makes a setup simply more pleasant to use.
Why browse our audio furniture?
Because a good sound system is more than just speakers and amplifiers.Sometimes you’re looking for something very practical. Other times, you’re looking for a piece of furniture that finally does justice to the equipment that will sit on it. Whether new or used, there’s often something that immediately sparks ideas in a hi-fi enthusiast.
CD
The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this. Velen hebben hun lp’s letterlijk bij het vuil gezet… sommige bezoekers zien wij nog steeds balen als ze dit vertellen.
Our playlist runs at full speed every day. Filled with everything, from the usual audiophile tracks to poorly recorded classics from the past, from a special Scandinavian chamber choir to hard Dutch hardcore. Enjoy it as we enjoy it too. Here are the links to the Freaklist! on Tidal, Qobuz and Spotify.
Once inside you forget outside, relaxation is the starting point. Sit down and play the music you like at the desired volume. Don't procrastinate, ask questions. Need a listening break, walk to the bar, grab a drink and start a game of pool.

Describing all daily listening sessions is not feasible, but highlighting one every now and then is of course fun to do and hopefully also fun to read. Several times a day, new combinations arise here from what visitors request or what we think has a chance. Read our experiences here.

We are having a great time with all the audio and we can share that feeling with most visitors. Yet sometimes there are companions who have no interest in it at all. Audio can be stolen from them. We also like to make those genes happy.
Soon hopefully!
