Description
An extremely powerful and dynamic amplifier. Built with the very best components, that is and always will be how Accuphase designs equipment. It is an amplifier with a rich and smooth midrange, but never screaming. It can also deliver the fast bangs! Roaring, undulating through the room, no problem.
The Accuphase E-408 is an integrated amplifier known for its high-quality sound reproduction and rugged construction. With an output of 180 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 260 watts at 4 ohms, this amplifier provides enough power for a variety of speaker systems. The E-408 uses Multiple Circuit Summing (MCS) topology in both the preamp and power amp sections, which contributes to an improved signal-to-noise ratio and lower distortion. In addition, current feedback technology ensures optimal phase characteristics in the high frequency range. The amplifier is equipped with an efficient R-toroidal power transformer and wide-band power transistors in a triple push-pull configuration, resulting in a stable and powerful output. For added flexibility, optional plug-in cards can be used to implement high-quality digital inputs or analog turntable playback. With its thoughtful design and high-quality components, the Accuphase E-408 offers a listening experience that is both detail-rich and dynamic.
The Accuphase E-480 is designed from Accuphase’s philosophy of ultimate musical expression and precision. The amplifier uses a separated MCS+ topology with Current Feedback technology for optimal signal transmission. High-quality components are carefully selected, including special capacitors and internal wiring made of pure copper. The solid aluminum housing effectively dampens vibrations. Manufacturing and tuning take place manually in Yokohama, Japan. Development is overseen by Accuphase veteran engineers such as Yamada and Nishio.
Accuphase was founded in Tokyo in 1972 as Kensonic Laboratory by brothers Nakaichi and Jiro Kasuga. The company name changed to Accuphase Laboratory, Inc. in 1982 to unify the brand name and company name. The brand introduced its first products, the preamplifier C-200, the power amplifier P-300 and the tuner T-100, in 1973. These models were produced with high-quality components and sophisticated workmanship, and immediately received positive reactions and awards. Since 1973, Accuphase has operated from Yokohama, Japan, where its headquarters are located and the brand has expanded its product line to include various audio devices.
