This streaming device supports various music formats, including DSD and PCM up to 384 kHz at 32-bit. It uses dual-band Wi-Fi and gigabit Ethernet for stable network connectivity. The USB audio host features patented ActiveUSB™ technology, which minimizes jitter. Digital audio outputs include AES/EBU, coaxial and TOSLINK. The internal design focuses on eliminating jitter, thanks in part to the use of two individual Femto clocks for both the USB audio host and digital outputs. The external linear power supply, based on Purer-Power™ technology, delivers a noise level of only 10 µV. The device runs on the Tesla hardware platform, consisting of a 1 GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor with 1 GB of DDR3 memory and 4 GB of internal memory. Control is via the Lightning DS app, compatible with iOS devices. Streaming services such as Qobuz and TIDAL are supported, as well as AirPlay and Songcast.
The AURALiC VEGA G1 is designed with the same philosophy as AURALiC’s high-end models: uncompromising digital reproduction. Drawing on their background in physics and engineering, the design team works from the belief that digital music should sound rich and natural. The enclosure is made of black anodized aluminum, with an internal design that uses AURALiC’s Tesla hardware platform. This provides computing power for advanced DSP, upsampling and jitter reduction. The DAC operates with a femto clock and supports resolutions up to 32bit/384kHz and DSD512.
