Description

Description of Freakuence!
The MScaler instantly converts 44.1, for example, into 705.6 kHz, and you can really hear the difference! It also handles other frequencies with ease. We’re not easily convinced by upsampling, but this little gem does it wonderfully. No hazy extra space, but a truly more definable soundstage, where there’s much more depth to discover. Everything sounds cleaner. Works with any other brand.
Retail price: 4,490.00
Details
The MScaler turns, for example, 44.1 into 705.6 kHz in a “jiffy,” and you can hear it! It knows how to take care of other frequencies, too. We are not easily convinced by upsampling, but this troittoires tileus does this wonderfully. No hazy extra space, but actually a more definable stage, where there is much more depth to be discovered. Everything is cleaner. Works with any other brand.
This is your chance to finally get your hands on demo material from the coolest store in the universe. Yeah! It’s actually worth a lot more than the original price, but we’ll keep it reasonable. It’s only been used for listening sessions with our visitors—it’s never had a private owner.
General description
The Chord Hugo TT MScaler is an advanced upscaler that transforms digital audio signals for an enhanced listening experience. Using Chord’s unique FPGA-based WTA filter technology, the MScaler increases the resolution of standard 44.1 kHz digital audio to 705.6 kHz, resulting in a richer and more detailed soundstage.

Designed to work seamlessly with Chord’s DACs, such as the Hugo TT 2, this upscaler can also be integrated with other DACs capable of higher sample rates. The compact design of the Chord Hugo TT MScaler allows it to be easily stacked with other TT Series components, creating a sophisticated and space-saving audio system.

Want to experience for yourself how the Chord Hugo TT MScaler can improve your music reproduction? Schedule a listening session in our listening room or contact us to discuss the possibilities.

Brand History
The brand was founded in the 1980s in the United Kingdom, with a focus on technology originally developed for the aerospace industry. Its founder, Rob Watts, is an electronics engineer with a background in advanced digital signal processing. His expertise in this field led to the development of a number of products using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology, a technique that at the time was primarily used in specialty industries.

The choice of this technology was not common in consumer electronics, but proved crucial to the performance of the products that followed. Rob Watts worked with John Franks, who has a long history in the technical and manufacturing aspects of the company. Together they laid the groundwork for a series of products known for their technical precision and reliability, without deviating from their original goal of providing accurate digital signal processing.

CD

The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this. Velen hebben hun lp’s letterlijk bij het vuil gezet… sommige bezoekers zien wij nog steeds balen als ze dit vertellen.
