What is the Kube 12B’s iBX technology, and how does it affect the sound?
iBX (Intelligent Bass Extension) is a DSP algorithm that analyzes the incoming signal and dynamically enhances low frequencies, allowing the subwoofer to deliver powerful and accurate bass at both low volumes and high output levels.
How do you adjust the crossover and volume on the Kube 12B?
The low-pass filter is adjustable between 40 Hz and 140 Hz (or set to LFE), and the subwoofer’s volume level adjusts via the volume knob so that it blends seamlessly with the main speakers.
What do the placement tuning presets mean?
There are presets for free-standing, wall-mounted/in-cabinet, and corner placement; these use DSP EQ to adjust the frequency response to compensate for room reflections and placement losses.
What connection options are available on the back of the Kube 12B?
There are RCA/LFE line-level inputs, speaker-level inputs, and an “Expansion” port for optional wireless use via the KW1 adapter.
Is it possible to synchronize the phase of the subwoofer with that of the main speakers?
Yes, a phase switch with 0° and 180° settings allows you to bring the fundamental frequencies into phase for optimal overlap with the main speakers.
What are the power specifications, and what do they mean in practice?
The Kube 12B uses a built-in 300-watt RMS Class-D amplifier, with a maximum sound pressure level of approximately 114 dB; it is suitable for medium to large spaces where powerful bass is desired.
Can the Kube 12B be placed inside a cabinet without any loss of sound quality?
Yes, thanks to the sealed cabinet design and the “Wall/In-Cabinet” placement preset, the response is adjusted to maintain bass clarity, even when the unit is placed against a wall or inside a piece of furniture.
What is the frequency range of the Kube 12B?
The frequency range extends from approximately 22 Hz to 140 Hz (±3 dB), making very low frequencies audible while it rolls off above 140 Hz.
Does the Kube 12B support wireless connections?
Not included as standard, but a separate KW1 Wireless Subwoofer Adapter (sold separately) provides wireless transmission with low latency (
How should the power supply for the Kube 12B be set up?
The power supply is universal: compatible with 100–120 V and 220–240 V at 50–60 Hz, with a detachable power cord; of course, proper grounding is essential.
