Trade show demo from importer. Trade show models have barely any running hours, or no running hours at all (not all products can be on at the same time in a trade show booth), are taken out of the box, displayed and then often sent directly to our shop. With the full official factory warranty!
This speaker system uses the latest acoustic technologies. It features a Uni-Q driver array with a 25 mm aluminum dome tweeter placed in the acoustic center of a 125 mm midrange driver. In addition, four 165 mm low-frequency drivers are present. The frequency range runs from 30 Hz to 45 kHz, with a sensitivity of 90 dB and an impedance of 4 ohms. The system can handle amplifiers with power ratings between 50 and 400 watts. The enclosure is carefully designed to minimize internal resonances and is finished with high-quality materials. At 1.35 meters tall and weighing 60 kg each, it is an impressive sight. The connections offer bi-wiring and bi-amping capabilities for optimal integration into various audio systems.
KEF was founded in 1961 by Raymond Cooke in Maidstone, England. The brand is named after the first letters of the name “Kent Engineering and Foundry.” In the 1970s, KEF introduced the first loudspeaker with a coaxial driver, which contributed to their reputation for sound quality. In 1980, KEF launched the “Kube” speakers, which further emphasized innovation in speaker design. The company won several awards for its designs, including the “Queen’s Award for Export” in 1988. KEF has also contributed to audio technology, such as developing the Uni-Q driver, which can combine different frequencies in a single unit. The brand remains active in the design and manufacture of audio equipment, with a focus on the integration of technology and design.
