Description

Description: Freakuence!
Cute little NAD. It can lie down quietly or stand up. It responds dynamically and alertly: soft passages remain engaging, and loud passages aren’t just for show.
Special Features
No worries! We offer an excellent 12-month warranty on used products.
General description
The NAD D7050 is a Direct Digital network amplifier from NAD, an amplifier that brings together digital sources: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (aptX), AirPlay, and network streaming. This network amplifier integrates digital circuitry with a Class-D output, making the NAD D7050 a compact streaming amp featuring cutting-edge technology and clear sound reproduction. The NAD D7050 delivers a smooth stereo image and a dynamic sound character without unnecessary coloration.
As a streaming amplifier, the NAD D7050 delivers natural detail in the midrange and high frequencies: vocals, acoustic instruments, and keyboard instruments sound open and realistic. The bass is tight and controlled, with punch without excess, which preserves the music’s dynamics. The soundstage is spacious and transparent, ideal for listening rooms where precision and nuance are important. Digital signals are reproduced cleanly and unfiltered: every nuance comes through via USB, coaxial, optical, or network connections, with minimal noise and maximum clarity.
If you’d like to hear the NAD D7050 in your own space, you can schedule a listening session to experience the amplifier in person. If you’d like to compare different amplifiers or discuss trade-in options, let me know—and we’ll work together to find the best match for your listening experience.

Reviews & awards | NAD D7050

What Hi-Fi?

— The NAD D7050 is praised for its excellent support for digital sources, its alluring sound with a forgiving presentation, and its bold design, all housed in a compact chassis. Criticism centers on the lack of analog inputs and build quality that isn’t quite up to par for the price.

Hi-Fi Choice

— Impressive streaming capabilities and numerous digital connections are combined with an attractive design, paired with a clean, smooth sound. It is noted that it can sometimes sound a bit dry and that the bass is less powerful than that of some competitors. Here, too, the lack of analog inputs is cited as a negative point.

fairaudio.de

— Praised for its tight, dry, yet highly structured bass, natural and nuanced midrange without distracting artifacts, and a relatively smooth but accurate high-frequency response. Compared to more expensive Class AB amplifiers, it does lack some warmth and emotion, but in terms of detail, dynamics, and ease of use, it performs exceptionally well for its price range.

SoundStageAccess.com

— The D7050 stands out for its very quiet background and control, especially in the low frequencies; its tonal balance is described as neutral, with no added coloration. It performs surprisingly well even when streaming at low bitrates. However, it should be used with caution when paired with larger speakers: listening at high volumes pushes it close to its limits.

CD

The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this. Velen hebben hun lp’s letterlijk bij het vuil gezet… sommige bezoekers zien wij nog steeds balen als ze dit vertellen.
