Description
Very nice amplifier with open sound. Unforced… it forces you to relax with its lively and catchy reproduction that pulls you completely into your music. A little soul in a steel box.
The Soulnote A-1 is an integrated amplifier known for its clear and spacious sound reproduction.
A notable feature is the volume control, which uses a balanced relay attenuator instead of a traditional rotary knob.
The enclosure has a symmetrical design, contributing to balanced rigidity and resonance control.
The Soulnote A-1 is an amplifier that focuses on pure and dynamic music reproduction, without unnecessary features.
The Soulnote A-1 is designed from the principle of maximum musical expression without negative feedback. The Japanese design team, led by chief engineer Kato-san, focuses on purity and speed in signal processing. Both the exterior and internal chassis are made of high-quality aluminum for optimal vibration damping and heat dissipation. Each component is selected for sound quality, not measured values.
Soulnote is a Japanese brand founded in 2004 by former designers of Marantz Japan. The brand is owned by CSR Inc. which has been involved in development and production activities for circuits in communication systems since its inception. The first product line was released in 2006 and included models such as the SA710, DA710 and MA710. In June 2016, lead developer Kato was transferred from CSR to Soulnote with the goal of refining product development. Since then, new model series, including the Series 2 and Series 3 models, have been worked on under his leadership. The company manufactures its products in Japan. Component structures, circuits and enclosures are thereby designed with precise internal tuning without the use of negative feedback.
