Stereocheck

reviews the Advance Paris MyConnect 60 as a compact and complete Hi-Fi system with high-quality sound reproduction. The device combines a CD player, network player, and amplifier in one, and supports various streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer, and Tidal. The amplifier delivers 2x70 W in Class AB, ensuring powerful and accurate audio reproduction. The design is stylish, featuring a glass front panel and intuitive controls. One minor drawback is that the volume does not start at a preset low level when the device is turned on, but rather at the last used level.

ON-mag

highlights the versatility of the MyConnect 60, which serves as a streamer, preamplifier, phono preamplifier, power amplifier, CD player, and tuner. While the design isn’t particularly striking, the build quality is solid. The sound quality is praised, especially when paired with the Davis Acoustics Ariane 2 speakers. Operation is simple and intuitive, featuring a monochrome display and a companion app for network functionality. A minor drawback is the lack of modern digital inputs such as HDMI.

Fairaudio

highlights the versatility of the MyConnect 60, which functions as a network player, CD player, amplifier, and tuner (DAB+, FM). The device offers a variety of connection options, including Phono, USB-A, Toslink, AirPlay, and Bluetooth. The amplifier delivers 2x70 W in Class AB, ensuring powerful and accurate audio reproduction. The design is stylish, featuring a glass front panel and intuitive controls. The price of €790 is considered a good value for the functionality offered.

CD

The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this. Velen hebben hun lp’s letterlijk bij het vuil gezet… sommige bezoekers zien wij nog steeds balen als ze dit vertellen.
