The H30A is a giant, a beast, whatever you want to call it. It is a mono or stereo power amplifier, that minimum. But what(t) for one! With an output of over 1100 watts at 8 ohms in mono mode even. Very clean listening image. Thanks to SoundEngine technology, distortion remains extremely low.

In mono mode, this power amplifier delivers more than 1100 watts at 8 ohms and remains stable at loads up to 1 ohm. The unit can also be used in stereo mode. It features both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs, as well as a 12V trigger input. High-quality, gold-plated speaker terminals are provided for optimal connectivity. The power supply consists of two separate 1000 VA transformers and a 270,000 μF capacitor bank, ensuring adequate power and minimal distortion. In the output stage, 56 15-A and 200-W bipolar transistors are used. The input stage uses carefully matched FET transistors to eliminate higher harmonic distortion. In addition, SoundEngine technology is used to correct distortion in real time. The frequency range is wide and the signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 100 dB. The attenuation factor is higher than 500, contributing to a controlled and natural sound'.

The Hegel H30A is designed as a reference power amplifier, with a focus on absolute control, low distortion and maximum musical experience. Developed by Bent Holter, co-founder and chief designer of Hegel, among others, the H30A uses patented SoundEngine2 technology, an extremely rugged power supply and a dual-mono design. Internal wiring is short and rectilinear, cabinet construction is aluminum for optimal thermal and electrical performance. Manufacturing and parts selection are done in Norway.
Hegel was founded in Norway in the late 1980s by Bent Holter. In his graduate project at Trondheim University of Technology, he developed a solution for reducing distortion in transistor amplifiers. This led to the technology that later became known as SoundEngine. In 1988, the name Hegel was first used for an amplifier. The company released several CD players and amplifiers in the 1990s. In 1996, the first fully balanced amplifier was introduced. Around 2004, the brand began developing DA converters. Later products featured networking capabilities to support digital music playback. Hegel exclusively markets its own electronics, developing both the circuit design and the necessary software itself. The company conducts international distribution of its products from Norway.
