Description

Description: Freakuence!
The KEF KW1 TX/RX does its wireless thing without any noticeable glitches.
Retail price: 250.00
Details
This product is refurbished. Inspected on behalf of the official importer. Therefore, it comes with a full dealer warranty!
General description
The KEF KW1 TX/RX SYSTEM is a wireless adapter set consisting of a transmitter and a receiver, designed specifically for KEF subwoofers. The KW1 TX/RX SYSTEM allows you to connect your subwoofer invisibly without cables cluttering your listening room. Simply plug the receiver into the subwoofer’s expansion port and connect the transmitter to your amplifier or preamplifier. This way, you’ll enjoy clear detail and dynamic bass reproduction without compromise.
With the KEF KW1 TX/RX SYSTEM, you’ll experience an enhanced stereo image and crisp sound, thanks to wireless transmission operating on the 5 GHz band with high resolution up to 24-bit/48 kHz. Latency is less than 17 milliseconds, ensuring that synchronized listening remains uninterrupted. The sound reproduction retains its impact and finesse—the dynamics remain sharp, and the bass remains full, without any delay or loss of character.
Because the KEF KW1 TX/RX PRODUCT TYPE (adapter set) is compact and easy to install, you have freedom in your setup. The subwoofer’s position determines how the bass integrates into the room, not the length of the cables. You’ll enjoy a wireless connection, rich sonic detail, and robust bass reproduction. Want to hear how it sounds with your system? Schedule a listening session to compare the subtle differences for yourself, or let us discuss trade-in options.

Reviews & awards | KEF KW1 TX/RX SYSTEM

Hi-Fi News

: The review of the KC92 describes the optional

KW1 wireless system

as an essential solution for users who want to connect the subwoofer wirelessly; the KW1 operates at 5.2 GHz or 5.8 GHz, delivers 24-bit/48 kHz, and has a latency of less than 17 ms with a line-of-sight range of up to approximately 30 feet.

Australian Hi-Fi / What Hi-Fi?

: The KC62 review mentions the KW1 sets as an optional wireless accessory; it particularly praises the freedom of placement, since the signals can be transmitted wirelessly. Upon closer examination, the review notes that for discerning audiophiles, the wireless connection may be slightly less than ideal.

audioXpress

: In the “Fresh From the Bench” test of the KC62, measurements were taken using the KW1 transmitter kit. The test confirms the specified 24-bit/48 kHz transmission and emphasizes that wireless use is essential for optimal placement—though it suggests that demanding listening situations may still favor wired connections.

AudioDrom

: One reviewer published his impressions of the KC62 with the Bluetooth-enabled “wireless set (KW−1)”; he finds the system very suitable for home theater use or for less demanding applications, and mentions a latency of about 10 ms based on his experience—fast enough for some listeners, but perhaps noticeable to others.

HomeTheaterHifi.com

: In their review, the KW1 is mentioned as a tool for wireless integration of the KC62 subwoofer; they praise the fact that it eliminates the hassle of cables. The wireless set is used without audible distortion or issues in both simple and more complex setups.

CD

The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this. Velen hebben hun lp’s letterlijk bij het vuil gezet… sommige bezoekers zien wij nog steeds balen als ze dit vertellen.
