Description

Description: Freakuence!
This is a step up from KEF! We’re very familiar with their other active speaker sets, but the Luxe sounds much more refined and grand. The LS LUXE delivers a precise sound with a clear and crisp midrange that reveals subtle textures without harshness or artificiality. Very pleasant.
General Description
KEF LS LUXE speakers are high-end speakers designed for discerning audiophiles who seek a refined soundstage. This KEF speaker combines detailed reproduction with a rich sound, featuring dynamics that are immediately apparent in any audio lab or listening room.
As a speaker, the KEF LS LUXE delivers a stereo image that feels wide and open, with each instrument clearly positioned. The sound remains expressive even at low volumes, without becoming flat, and retains its finesse and nuance. Vocals come through beautifully in the midrange, while high frequencies sparkle without harshness. The dynamics are impressive: soft passages remain engaging, and loud passages are delivered with power yet control.
This speaker excels in detail, with a clearly audible texture in chords, strings, and percussion. The KEF LS LUXE’s sound reproduction creates a well-organized soundstage where different frequencies work together harmoniously. Thanks to this speaker design, you’ll experience music as it was meant to be heard: lively, clear, and immersive.
Come listen in our listening room to hear for yourself what the KEF LS LUXE can do. Compare this speaker with alternative models or discuss a possible trade-in to make the perfect choice.

Who doesn’t want to stay active? Don’t worry—an active speaker stays right where it is, but it heats up nicely on the inside. It contains amplifiers that are perfectly tuned to the drivers. The internal DAC handles digital signal processing. So, keep the signal paths short! Just load in some music files, and you’re all set.

You can make a monitor speaker (bookshelf model) sound fantastic. The influence of the amplifier is often underestimated. A monitor won’t sound like a floorstanding speaker… but you can extract an enormous sense of grandeur from it. It’s not just the size that makes audiophiles choose a monitor; the timing of a two-way system also ensures that there are hordes of enthusiasts who wouldn’t even consider a three-way floorstanding speaker. It’s a matter of taste! So please stop by for a comparison.

CD

The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this. Velen hebben hun lp’s letterlijk bij het vuil gezet… sommige bezoekers zien wij nog steeds balen als ze dit vertellen.
