SVS was founded in 1998 in Youngstown, Ohio. The brand began manufacturing subwoofers and quickly gained prominence by offering high-quality products at relatively low prices. SVS distinguished itself through a direct sales strategy via the Internet, bypassing traditional distribution models. This allowed them to offer affordable subwoofers without compromising on quality. Subwoofers remain an important part of the product offering, although the company has since developed a wider range of audio equipment.
